Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

The Force is strong this year. We have a big Star Wars television show going on, The Mandalorian. In 2019, we had a video game and a movie both coming out the same year. This is the perfect way to closure after the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hit the theaters in 20th December 2019.
Death Stranding

This highly anticipated game from Hideo Kojima that also stars Norman Reedus is not what most people expected, but it is something. Basically you go about your weird motorbike on a post-apocalyptic America delivering supplies to isolated colonies.
The atmospheric music is best appreciated by some great quality headphones for PS4.
Madden NFL 20

The fresh new thing in this year’s Madden NFL is Face of the Franchise: QB1. It is a “personalized career campaign” where you can play the story of a character starting from a college quarterback to a NFL star. Otherwise its not much more than before. This is something that makes it one of the best video games for new year.
Super Mario Maker 2

Super Mario Maker 2 is not only great because you can make a somewhat functioning calculator, but because it lets you be creative in what is a side-scrolling platformer. The sequel brings even more things to play with from the Super Mario 3D World and other resources.
NBA 2K20

The NBA 2K20 is already the best selling video game in the U.S. but you got to see what the hype is about for yourself. The best thing is that is just came out this September, and the wait to to get it is comparatively short. That is precisely why it is one of the best video games for new year.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Double Pack

Sword and Shield bring back the Pokemon Gyms, in case you missed them in Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Also, the new open-world area is cool.

The best thing about FIFA 20 is that it feels fresh. While beating your friends on multiplayer one-on-ones never gets old, the career mode sure does feel a bit repetitive.
All this changes with a whole new emphasis on street football, or as FIFA likes to call it VOLTA(return in Portuguese) Football. Fancy names aside, it is a cool new way to play.

Call of Duty is great again. The Modern Warfare reboot is the best thing that has happened to the franchise for a long time. However, it is not just a graphical overhaul, there are new features which make it a must-play for those who have already played the original Modern Warfare.
The realism feature, for instance, removes all the hud and makes for a more tactical play. For the first time in Call of Duty series, we are getting cross-platform play. So this time the stakes are high, you are not only fighting for yourself but also for the pride of your platform.

The experiences a video game leaves you with are sometimes so extraordinary that you can’t experience the same in another medium. That’s why I play video games, but also to be entertained of course.
